System performance report January 1 2010 - June 30 2010.

Detailed system data has been collected for this project.

In January and February 2010, the weather was overcast most days, and during this time frame - without much sun the system performed exceedingly well. Historically, we have run the generator eight hours per day in January and February, whereas with the new technologies in place, from this past December 18-February 28, the generator ran for an average of 2.25 hours per day. For the month of March, with more sunshine, we operated the generator for an average of .6 hours per day, a total 18 hours run time, whereas in the past, this figure was 248 hours for the month of March.

In April and May, the weather was spectacular most days, and during this time frame we ran the generator for eleven hours total for those two months. In June, the weather was rainy and overcast for most of the month, and total generator time for that month was 30 hours. Compared to historical usage of eight hours average per day annually, this represents a 94%+ change (decrease in fossil fuel [diesel] consumption) over the three-month period.

The ranch used 3,456 litres of diesel fuel for electricity generation in the period of January 1 - March 31, 2009. Same period 2010, they used only 724 litres.

The ranch used 3,494 litres of diesel fuel for electricity generation in the period April 1 - June 30, 2009.
Same period in 2010 they have used only 197 litres.

This represents an 87% reduction in fossil fuel consumption.

Since January 1st, this site has reduced green house gases by 16,092 kilograms in total, which is the equivalent of taking 3 passenger vehicles off the road for one year.
